2、NGALINCENTIVESCHEME,2001:AndwhereastheGovernorwaspleasedtointroducetheWESTBENGALITINCENTIVESCHEME2001.AndwhereasthesaidschemewasnotifiedonNovember13,2001.Andwhereasthesaidschemewassupposedtohavecomeintoeffectfrom1stdayofNovember,2001.Andwhereasthesaidsc
3、hemecouldnotbemadeoperationalowingtocertainproceduralanomaliesinthisschemeandaccordinglytheGovernorwaspleasedtointroducetheWESTBENGALITINCENTIVESCHEME,2004,makingsuitableamendmentsintheschemeof2001andwhereastheWestBengalITIncentiveScheme2004isgoingtoexp
4、ireon31.08.09anditisappreciatedthatanewschemehastobelaunchedonandfrom01.09.2009now,therefore,bymakingsuitableamendmentsintheschemeof2004,theGovernorispleasedtointroducetheWestBengalITIncentiveScheme,2009,whichfollowshereunder.1.ShortTitle:Thisschememayb
5、ecalledTheWestBengalITIncentiveScheme,2009(hereinafterreferredtoastheITIncentiveScheme,2009)forIT/ITEnabledServicesProjectsoflargeandsmall-scaleunits(hereinafterreferredtoasITUnits)tobesetupintheState.2.CommencementandDuration:Unlessspecificallymentione
6、dagainsttherespectiveitemsofincentivessanctionedundertheITIncentiveScheme2009,itshallcomeintoeffectonandfromthe1stdayofSeptember2009inthewholeofWestBengalandshallremainvalidforaperiodoffiveyearsendingonthe31stAugust2014.However,units,whichhavebeensetupo
7、norafter1stJanuary,2000maybegrantedincentivesunderthisschemeasaspecialcasesubjecttotheconditionthatiftheseunitshavedrawnanyincentivesundertheearlierscheme(WestBengalIndustrialScheme,2000)thensuchincentivesmaybeadjustedagainsttheincentiveswhichmaybeadmis
8、sibleunderthenewscheme.3.Definitions:IntheITIncentiveScheme,2009,unlessthecontextotherwiserequires,i.ITIndustryincludesITsoftwareandhardware;ITsoftwareIndustrymeansITsoftware,ITservicesandITenabledservices,wherenofactoryoperation
