4、NeedtoassessefficacyofpublichealthactionAvailabilityofabiomonitoringanalyticalmethodAvailabilityofadequatebiospecimensamplesIncrementalanalyticalcost.Aromaticphosphateshavebeenusedasplasticizersandflameretardantsfordecades.Somereplacedpolychlorinate

5、dbiphenyls(PCBs)foranumberofapplications.Manyarecurrentlymarketedassubstitutesforpolybrominateddiphenylether(PBDE)flameretardants,whichwerebannedorarebeingphasedoutinCalifornia.Whenaromaticphosphatesareaddedtoproductsasplasticizersorflameretardant,theya

6、renotchemicallybound.Overtimetheycanmigrateoutoftheproductsandintotheenvironment.Forexample,triphenylphosphatehasbeenfoundindustandindoorair.Ethylhexyldiphenylphosphateisusedasaplasticizerinfoodcontactmaterialsandhasbeenfoundinmargarineandcandycaramels.
