3、lyinEngland;stonemasticasphalt(SMA),akindofmodifiedasphaltlatelyusedinGermanyandJapan;andepoxyasphalt,mostlyadoptedinUSA.Epoxyasphaltconcreteisakindofhighstrengthandflexiblematerialbyaddingthermosettingepoxideresinandsolidifiedagentintoasphalt.Asapavingmateri
4、al,epoxyasphaltismainlyappliedforsteelbridgedeckinUSA,CanadaandAustralia,especiallyinUSA.ButthismaterialhasneverbeenusedforpavingbridgedeckinChinauntilitsapplicationintheSNYRB.Theseyears,theconstructionoflong-spanbridgesinChinahasdevelopedveryfast.Manypavingt
5、echniquesofJapanandEnglandhavebeenadoptedinconstructingbridges.However,thesetechniquesarenotcompletelyapplicablefortheparticularclimateandtrafficconditionsinChina.Furthermore,thesteelgirderboxstructure,onceuniversallyusedbyforeigncountries,hasbeenappliedinlon
6、g-spanbridgesrecentlyconstructedinChina,andthehighesttemperatureofthepavingofbridgedeckinmostareasofChinacanreach70℃.Sothepavingmaterialmustpossessthehighertemperaturestability.Thepavinglayerofmanybridgeswasdamagedshortlyafterbeingputintouse.Infact,thepavingt
7、echniqueofsteelbridgedeckdependstoalargeextentonthestructureofsteelbridgedeckandnaturalenvironment.DeepandsystematicresearchonpavingofsteelbridgedeckisverylimitedinChina.Inthispaper,thecompositiondesignofepoxyasphaltconcrete,itscharacteristicsandserviceperfor
8、manceofthemixture,bondperformanceofepoxyasphaltconcretewithsteelplate,thefatiguetestofcomplexgirderformedbythesteelplateandepoxyasphaltconcrete,arefirstlyandsystematicallystudied.Inadditi
