3、lt(SMA),akindofmodifiedasphaltlatelyusedinGermanyandJapan;andepoxyasphalt,mostlyadoptedinUSA.Epoxyasphaltconcreteisakindofhighstrengthandflexiblematerialbyaddingthermosettingepoxideresinandsolidifiedagentintoasphalt.Asapavingmaterial,epoxyasphaltismainlyappliedforsteelbrid
4、gedeckinUSA,CanadaandAustralia,especiallyinUSA.ButthismaterialhasneverbeenusedforpavingbridgedeckinChinauntilitsapplicationintheSNYRB.Theseyears,theconstructionoflong-spanbridgesinChinahasdevelopedveryfast.ManypavingtechniquesofJapanandEnglandhavebeenadoptedinconstructingb
5、ridges.However,thesetechniquesarenotcompletelyapplicablefortheparticularclimateandtrafficconditionsinChina.Furthermore,thesteelgirderboxstructure,onceuniversallyusedbyforeigncountries,hasbeenappliedinlong-spanbridgesrecentlyconstructedinChina,andthehighesttemperatureofthep
6、avingofbridgedeckinmostareasofChinacanreach70℃.Sothepavingmaterialmustpossessthehighertemperaturestability.Thepavinglayerofmanybridgeswasdamagedshortlyafterbeingputintouse.Infact,thepavingtechniqueofsteelbridgedeckdependstoalargeextentonthestructureofsteelbridgedeckandnatu
