3、OriginallyIhadintendedtoreviseoraugmentNamingandNecessityextensively.Considerabletimehaselapsed,andIhavecometorealizethatanyextensiverevisionorexpansionwoulddelaytheappearanceofaseparate,lessexpensiveeditionofNamingandNecessityindefmitely.Further,asfarasrevisionisconcerned,thereissomethingtobesaidf
4、orpreservingaworkinitsoriginalform,wartsandall.Ihavethusfollowedaveryconservativepolicyofcorrectionforthepresentprinting.Obviousprintingerrorshavebeencorrected,andslightchangeshavebeenmadetomakevarioussentencesorformulationsclearer.1Agoodindicationofmyconservativepolicyisinfootnote56.Inthatfootnote
