2、sphaseoforalsurgerybegiventhesamecarefulstudyandapplicationofsoundsurgicalprinciplesasisgiventosurgeryinanyotherpartofthehumanbody.IndicationsfortheextractionofteethThefollowingareindicationsfortheextractionofteeth.(a)teeththatarefociofinfections;(b)teethwithnonvitalpulps,oracuteorchronicpu

3、lpitiswhenrootcanaltherapyisnotindicated;(c)incasesofsevereperiodontoclasiainwhichexcessivebonysupportoftheteethisdestroyed;Indicationsfortheextractionofteeth(d)teethnottreatablebyapicoectomy;(e)teethmechanicallyinterferingwiththeplacementofrestorativeappliances;(f)teethnotrestorablebyopera

4、tivedentistry;(g)impactedteeth;(h)supernumeraryteeth;(i)retaineddeciduousteethwhenasuccedaneoustoothispresent,andinnormalpositiontoerupt;Indicationsfortheextractionofteeth(j)teethwithfracturedcrown;(k)malposedteethnotamenabletoorthodontictreatment;(l)roots;(m)teeththataretraumatizingsofttis

5、sues,ifothertreatmentwillnotpreventthistrauma.Contraindications:systemicdiseases11.Uncontrolleddiabetesmellitus2.Cardiacdisease,suchascoronaryarterydisease.hypertension,andcardiacdecompensation,e.g.postinfarctionwithin6months3.Blooddyscrasiassuchasanemias,hemorrhagicdiseasese.g.hemophilia,a

6、ndtheleukemias.4.Debilitatingdiseasesofanykindmakingpatientspoorrisksforfurthertraumaticinsults.5.Addison'sdiseaseoranysteroiddeficiency,suchasthepatientwhohasbeentreatedforanydiseasewithsteroidtherapymaynothavesufficientadrenalcortexsecretiontowithstandthestressofanextractionwithouttakinga

7、dditionalsteroids.Contraindications:systemicdiseases26.Feverofunexplainedoriginisrarelycuredandoftenisworsenedbyextraction,e.g.subacutebacterialendocarditiswouldbecomplicatedconsiderablybyanextraction.7.Nephritis8.Pregnancy:extractionisbettertobedoneinth
