3、dependentlyisolatedfromthebrainandspinalcordofaninfectedWistarFurthratwerecomparedwiththatoftheparentalvirus.ThemRNAscorrespondingtothegenesencodingthepeplomer(S)andthehemagglutinin-esterase(HE)proteinsofthevariantviruseswerefoundtobesmallerinsize.Thepossiblesequencechan
4、geswerestudiedbyoligonucleotidefingerprintinganddirectRNAsequencing.Bothvariantshavealargedeletionof246aminoacidsinthecarboxy-ter-minalendoftheHEprotein.However,thistruncatedproteinwasnotdetectedintheinfectedcells,suggestingeitheratranslationalregulationorrapiddegradatio
5、nofthetruncatedproteininthesecells.Thevariantvirusisolatedfromthespinalcordhasaseconddeletionof147aminoacidsintheamino-terminalhalfoftheSprotein.ThisdeletionsitecorrespondstoahypervariableregionwheredeletionshavebeenfrequentlynotedamongMHVvariantswithdifferentbiologicalp
6、roperties.Thesefindingssuggestthatthechangesinpathogenicpropertiesofthetwoneuralisolatesareassociatedwithdrasticalterationsoftheviralstructuralglycoproteins.o1991AcademicPWSS,hc.Mousehepatitisvirus(MHV),amemberoftheCoro-approximately70nucleotides(15,18),whichisalsonaviri
7、dae,containsanonsegmentedpositive-strandedpresentatthe5-endofeverysubgenomicRNAs.AtRNAgenomeof31kb(1-3).TheRNAgenomeisen-the3-endoftheleaderRNA,thereareseveralrepeatsclosedinahelicalnucleocapsidstructureformedbyofapentanucleotidesequenceUCUAA,whoserepeatassociationwithnu
8、cleocapsidproteins(N).ThevirionsnumbervariesamongdifferentMHVstrains(17).Theareenvelopedandcontainthree
