2、les,theirtrailersandsystems,componentsandseparatetechnicalunitsintendedtherefor(TextwithEEArelevance)THEEUROPEANPARLIAMENTANDTHECOUNCILOFTHE(3)ThisRegulationiswithoutprejudicetothevehiclesingle-EUROPEANUNION,stepandmixedtype-approvalproceduresetoutinArticle6ofDirective2007
3、/46/EC.HavingregardtotheTreatyestablishingtheEuropeanCommunity,andinparticularArticle95thereof,(4)Thetechnicalrequirementsforthetype-approvalofmotorvehicleswithregardtonumeroussafetyandenvironmentalelementshavebeenharmonisedatHavingregardtotheproposalfromtheCommission,Comm
4、unitylevelinordertoavoidrequirementsthatdifferfromoneMemberStatetoanother,andtoensureahighlevelofroadsafetyandenvironmentalHavingregardtotheopinionoftheEuropeanEconomicandprotectionthroughouttheCommunity.SocialCommittee(1),Actinginaccordancewiththeprocedurelaiddownin(5)The
5、refore,thisRegulationalsoaimsatenhancingtheArticle251oftheTreaty(2),competitivenessoftheCommunityautomotiveindustrywhilstenablingMemberStatestoexerciseeffectivemarketsurveillanceofcompliancewiththedetailedWhereas:type-approvalrequirementsofthisRegulationasregardstheplacing
