4、stonestreetsandhotsprings.BecauseofitslocationbetweenAsiaandEurope,itisablendoftheEastandtheWest.1CLIMATEFallinTbilisiWinterinTbilisiGeorgia'sclimateisaffectedbythewarmmoistairthatblowsfromtheBlackSeafromthewestandtheMediterraneaninfluencesfromtheeast.TheGreaterCaucasusmountainrangeprovidesab
5、arrieragainstthecoldairfromthenorth.TheclimaticzonesaredeterminedbythedistancefromtheBlackSeaandbyaltitude.AlongtheBlackSeacoast,fromAbkhaziatotheTurkishborder,andintheregionknownastheKolkhidaLowlands,theclimateissubtropical.Here,thereishighhumidityandheavyprecipitation(1,000to2,000millimeter
6、speryear).Severalvarietiesofpalmtreesgrowintheseregions,wherethemidwinteraveragetemperatureis5ºC(42°F)andthemidsummeraverageis22ºC(71.6°F).TheplainsofeasternGeorgiahaveacontinentalclimate.Here,thesummersarewarmer.Temperaturesgenerallyrangefrom20ºCto24ºC(68-75.2ºF),andthewintersarerelativelyco
