3、isownopinionsonthetextinsteadofallowingtheBibletoexpressitsownmeaning.Commonpracticeamongcontemporaryevangelicalsimposesaninterpreter’spreunderstandingonatextatthebeginningoftheinterpretiveprocess,thusdeprivingthetextofitsownmeaning.Eachtextismeaningf

4、ulinitsownrightanddeservestobeheardthroughanobjectivehermeneuticalapproach.Scriptureisreliablebecauseofitsprecision,evidencedfrequentlythroughoutScriptureitself.Itsprecisionrequiresanappropriatelypreciseresponsefromthosewhosubmitthemselvestoit(see2Tim

5、2:14-26).Unfortunately,recentevangelicalscholarshiphasnotacknowledgedtheBible’sprecision,whichextendstotheverywordsthatJesusspoke.Earlierevangelicals,however,didspecificallysupporttheverbalinspirationofScripture.*****Thetitleforthisarticledeservesanex
