4、on(Portugal).Duetotheincreasingurbanpressure,naturalpopulationsAccepted28June2012arenowreducedtosmallnucleilocatedinthecenteroftheregion.GeneticvariationAvailableonline3August2012withinandamongthreepopulationsofthisspecieswasevaluatedusinginter-simplesequencerepeat(ISSR)markers.Atotalofeightpri

5、mersgenerated128welldefinedKeywords:bands,withanaverageof16bandsperprimer.Atthepopulationlevel,thepercentageofEndemicspeciespolymorphicbandsrangedfrom55to73%,whileatthespecieslevelthisvalueincreasedConservationimplicationsto98%.ThepopulationshowingthehighestgeneticvariabilitywasOlhãoandthelowest

6、TuberariamajorGeneticstructurewasGambelas.AccordingtotheclusteranalysisbasedonUPGMA,thepopulationGam-Geneticdiversitybelaswasclearlyseparatedfromtheothertwo,whichclusteredtogether.ThethreeISSRmarkerspopulationsrevealedahighlevelofgeneticdiversity,withaNei’sgeneticdiversityof0.197andShannon’sdiv

7、ersityindexof0.324.Ahighlevelofgeneflowwasobservedamongpopulations(Nm¼2.199),reflectingamoderatelevelofgeneticdifferentiation(GST¼0.185),andnocorrelationbetweengeneticandgeographicaldistances(r¼1.000;P>0.05).Basedontheresultsobtaine
